Create your own vibrant mixed‑media butterfly montage using paper painting and collage!
In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll create your own hand-painted papers and transform them into a vibrant butterfly collage. We’ll begin by exploring simple gel plate printing techniques to build colour, texture, and pattern on upcycled papers.
You’ll then cut and shape your papers into unique butterflies, each with its own personality, and collage them onto a prepared, layered background.
You’ll leave with a finished mixed media piece full of colour and character!
Notes:
- This workshop takes place at Neruda Arts in St. Jacobs. You will be sent an email 1 week prior to your workshop to share directions, parking instructions and other.
- Neruda Arts is wheelchair accessible (via elevator).
- This workshop is for people 12 years +.
- There are a maximum of 12 spaces in this workshop.
- All supplies are included in your workshop other than what you may wish to bring from home to use in your piece.
