I have moved my village studio to my home, which was 'added on to' in 2024. Moving forward, I will only be teaching private group classes at locations of your choosing. You can can contact me directly to discuss possibilities for this class based on what kind of theme you'd like! The class description offered here is my basic offering, but can be fully customized for your needs.
The cost listed here for this workshop is for 6 - 8 participants (minimum 6 required in your group). If your group is larger than 8, the cost will increase.
There is something very satisfying about using just a needle and wool to create anything from pictures to sculptures, ornaments and figurines and so much more.
My class "Learn to Draw With Wool - An Introduction To Needle Felting Art" encourages participants to pick a photo they'd like to use for inspiration in creating their own piece of frame-able art.
Instead of using the wet felting technique to create pictures (which I teach in my Learn To Paint With Wool classes), this method involves the use of only a needle and wool to create lovely imagery.
In this class, we will discuss the needle felting process, along with basic principles of art. You will leave this 3-hour class with your own picture, approximately 8" x 10", along with a foam pad and bits of wool in order to keep working on your picture at home!
From nature scenes to faces, structures or completely whimsical compositions, the choice is yours. The needle is your pen, and the wool is your colour!
This session includes all supplies and we will choose a date which best works for you. Please note that you are required to find the class location (many times, a home works just fine as long as there are enough table surfaces for all. I have done several home parties!).
